All about Promotions

We love getting the best brands at the best prices for our customers – that’s how we ensure that New Zealanders are getting the best out of life. Our retail banners are in a great position to help you drive your business and engage with our customers every week. 

Our dedicated Retail and Category teams in both regions work hard to ensure that a detailed Promotional Plan is developed every year. They plan, review and approve the Banner Promotions for Four Square, New World and PAK'nSAVE. 

Within Foodstuffs North Island, each store buyer can also negotiate and load Store Promotions through their online portal.

Each of our banners have some different requirements when it comes to promoting your product:

New World

  • All Core Range lines must have an advertised promotional program unless otherwise agreed.  For efficiencies we can look at grouping products together that have the same promo retail prices.
  • Only Core Range lines can be advertised.

PAK'nSAVE

  • PAK'nSAVE does not advertise, therefore only the deal length is required for Temporary Price Reductions (TPRs) on agreed Ranged lines in the promotional plan. Our instore buying teams in our PAK’nSAVEs will also want to work with you to deliver New Zealand’s lowest food prices.

Four Square

  • All Core Range lines must have an advertised promotional program unless otherwise agreed.  For efficiencies we can look at grouping products together that have the same promo retail prices.
  • Only Core Range lines can be advertised.

Advertised promotions can only be at the beginning of a non-advertised promotion.  Advertised promotions will not be accepted in the middle of a non-advertised promotion.
